Well, slowly I'm working my way through all my marking ... just about half-way there I think.
Some of the final essays in my assessment subject are really glowing & others needed more reading - oh well that's the way it goes, I guess.
For myself, I really need some time out from the coalface for a while, & a total change of scene - hopefully I'll get this in Vancouver next week. I'm looking forward to some new faces and new ideas since I haven't been to this particuar conference before ...
Oh, & 2 past students have got together in Japan - & good to see too! An interesting & different perspective on the effectiveness of technology for facilitating collaborative endeavours! ;-}

I'm using this blog to keep track of my thoughts and reflections on the changes I'm making to my teaching online, their effects, and possible options as I go along. This is the third semester I'm running this course in this blended mode, and I'm implementing some more of the changes suggested or requested by students over the last 2 semesters.

I hope your Vancouver trip does the trick for you though I fail to see how. I would have opted for a quiet fortnight at the beach with my sons. :)

Yes Susan - that would have been my choice too - but unfortunately these sorts of choices are out of my hands these days - you know what I mean :-(
I'll be sending out the results today & tomorrow - so I hope you're all ready to check your QUT email accounts tomorrow evening :-)

konnichiwa!!
truly love ur jet-setting lifestyle - perhaps it does get a bit tiring sometimes, but i reckon all the good bits far outweighs the bad bits, i.e. jet-lag..
so far, my holiday here has been fantastic, maybe more so cos im with kazu.. hhmm.. who would have thought hey! lol..
i hope i did okay with my last assignment--fingers cross, hope i belong in the 'glowing assignment' group!.. hehe.. nevertheless, i just want you to know that i thoroughly enjoyed your classes, and i learned so much from you classes, particularly when related some of the topics of assessment with Ed Qld. this will definitely comes in handy when i work with ed. qld in the near future..
thank you debra for a fantastic semester..
robee.
Yes life isn't always simple like those Hollywood productions would have us believe. I'll check my QUT email account now.

Hi Debra,
How is your trip going? I trust it's all you hoped it would be.
BTW I've checked my blog, emails etc and as yet no results for this subject.
Did I miss something?

Hello Debra, jet-setting between the hemispheres again increasing your flyer miles. Gosh! You will soon be able to travel first class around the globe. I am really glad Annetta talked me into doing Assessment. You were great!
